You need to think very carefully about this kind of play because it can be EXTREMELY dangerous.
Although details are not clear Michael Hutchence apparently lot his life playing with self asphyxiation and I know personally of one medical practitioner who accidentally killed his partner using it. He served 16 years in jail for murder using a yoga technique that is claimed to enhance sexual pleasure.
I think you need to carefully study the anatomy of the throat before even thinking about choking someone as there are very delicate organs there that can suffer permanent damage. The throat also has major blood vessels that take blood to the brain. Interfere with that blood supply and deprive the brain of blood (and oxygen) and you have minutes to live!
Personally I would NOT engage in such play because the risks of accidents and damage are far too high. Things can go wrong very, very quickly!
There are those who use gas-masks and similar devices to restrict and cut off breathing in the hope that it will enhance sexual pleasure. Of course these devices do not interfere with the delicate structures of the throat. That said beware of excess.
You are depriving the brain of oxygen with such practices and you had better have medical oxygen on standby and know how to do cardio-pulmonary resuscitation!
In my opinion the risks are still too high and I therefore don't engage in such things!
